2011 marks the 40th Anniversary of Sonoma County's Annadel State Park. This milestone comes at a challenging time, with ongoing fiscal cuts debilitating park services and threatening to restrict public access. In support and celebration of the park, Fleet Feet Sports Santa Rosa and Empire Runners will hold the 2nd annual Annadel Half (Marathon) 2011 to assist Valley of the Moon Historical Association in raising much needed funds for Sonoma County parks.

The inaugural Annadel Half 2010 was very successful in raising over $25,000 and selling out in less than 2 months! We hope to build on that fun and success with a much larger, family-friendly event on Sunday April 17, 2011.

Activities are planned for every member of the family. For runners and walkers, 400 participant slots are allotted for the Half Marathon (Annadel Half 2011) and 300 additional participants are invited to join in the first annual 5K ('Kathy's Race'), to benefit Kathy Camp, a local non-profit that offers a unique, supportive experience for children of cancer patients. A festival will be held concurrently at which top Sponsors are encouraged to provide an activity or demonstration for all attendees. A Junior Ranger Station, live music and local food vendors will also be on hand to entertain the 1,000 spectators/supporters expected at this event.

We are seeking financial contributions to assist with the various expenses an event this size will require. Two sponsorship packages are available, Park Hero ($350) or Park Lover ($250). Sponsorship opportunities are limited and of course, past sponsors are the first we are inviting. Please join us in creating this high profile, high energy, memorable event. Sponsorship packages are itemized on the following page and are limited to first come, first served availability. Deadline for your LOGO on apparel is Feb. 9, 2011.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you have interest or questions regarding this opportunity, as availability will fill up quickly.

Thank you very much!
